Pathways to Birmingham

The University of Birmingham has launched a new and exciting scheme to support Year 12 and 13 students in their progression to university and beyond. Pathways to Birmingham is an enhancement of our long-standing Post-16 schemes, including A2B and Routes to Profession, as well as a new motivating initiative, Inspired@Birmingham.

Our range of programmes within Pathways to Birmingham offer students an insight into higher education, professional career routes and support students throughout the university application process.  Whilst all programmes are designed to support students in raising aspirations and preparing to study at university, each programme is unique.

Upon successfully completing a Pathways to Birmingham programme, students may be eligible for an alternative offer  (up to two grades below the standard), as well as scholarship and bursary support

Aside from our leading Pathways to Birmingham programmes, at the University of Birmingham we also offer Masterclasses and  Realising Opportunities.

Going to university is a big step – so we’ve got lots of information to help support students throughout the transition.
