Interviewing Subjects Preparation Programme

The University of Birmingham is offering this programme to a selection of Year 12 students who are considering applying to study certain subjects at university.

Applications for this opportunity are now closed.

Are you in Year 12 and considering applying to study one of the following subjects at university?

  • Dentistry
  • Dental Hygiene and Therapy
  • Drama
  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Physiotherapy
  • Social Work

An important part of the selection process for these subjects is an interview or selection workshop. So to help you prepare for this, we are running an interview preparation programme to give you an insight into what to expect.

Programme details

The programme consists of a series of friendly and engaging workshops designed to inform you about what to expect from an interview or selection workshop, provide you with the tools to find the right programme, and help you become more confident and prepared for your UCAS application. The sessions will take place at the University of Birmingham from 16:00 - 18:00 on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 18 March 2020 - This session has been cancelled
  • Wednesday 29 April 2020 - This session has been cancelled
  • Wednesday 3 June 2020
  • Wednesday 1 July 2020
  • One further date to be confirmed in November 2020

There will be a different theme on each date, so students are expected to attend all workshops if possible.

Each workshop will be led by an academic member of staff, and will offer the opportunity to speak to students and staff from the departments teaching those subjects. Refreshments will also be provided.
