Insight into the Professions

InsightsOur Insight into the Professions sessions give Year 10 students at local schools a fun and engaging view of the healthcare, legal and engineering professions.

We are holding three Insight into the Professions events in 2022 covering the healthcare, engineering, and legal professions. Events will take place in person on campus Wednesday afternoons.

The sessions aim to raise students’ awareness of professional careers and opportunities available to them. Events will provide students with useful information and tools to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

Each event will focus on a particular professional industry. Students will hear from our award winning Careers team, and have an opportunity to take part in an interactive lecture. Each session will end with a campus tour led by a University of Birmingham student. There will be plenty of opportunity for students to get involved and ask questions.

Bookings for these sessions will open on this page in January 2022. Places are limited and so will be offered on a first come, first serve basis to local widening participation schools.
