Food and drink

On campus, you will feel spoilt for choice. We have a wide range of places to eat including eight Costas, a Starbucks and a number of University-owned cafes, whether you just need a quick snack or fancy a full meal we cater to all appetites on campus.

Whatever your tastes, there’s something to suit you, in University Central, we have popular and tasty food from around the world. Go Mex is our Mexican Burrito bar and in Go Central you can find British, Asian and Italian food- plus a range of salads and more!

The much-loved Joe’s bar is a popular place found in the Guild of Students, which serves food and drink throughout the day, and is the perfect place to meet friends between lectures to grab a drink or a bite to eat. At night, Joe’s transforms into one of campuses most popular evening entertainment venues.

We understand how busy you are during your studies, which is why we have cafes and places to get a drink or a snack between lectures and a fantastic new library café, where you can enjoy hot and cold food and a range of drinks between study sessions.

You will also find a number of mini-markets and shops on campus, perfect to grab a quick sandwich in between activities, or any essentials on your way home or between lectures.

Every day, the University has a fantastic fruit and vegetable stall in the heart of campus, where you can pick up all the fruit and vegetables you could need from apples and broccoli to avocados and mangos.

We also host a monthly farmers' market, where you can try a range of delicious hot and cold local produce. All of the produce on offer is grown, raised, caught or processed by the producer. Some of the favourites include delicious Thai dishes, pastries and pies and local cheeses- there are also craft stores too.
