If you’ve visited our campus, you can probably understand why so many students choose to study at Birmingham.
Eve, from Derby, 2nd year English
“The layout of campus is lovely, it is centred around the beautiful Chancellor’s Court and Old Joe. It looks pretty AND it makes it easier to navigate!”
We have the best of both worlds, our campus is not only a green and beautiful place to learn but is also a thriving hub of student life. It’s also only a stone’s throw from the city centre, which is perfect for those students who want a balance of a city and a campus experience.
There’s always something going on, on campus; which is unsurprising as we are proud to have a friendly and diverse community. You’ll often find a stand or even big marquee at the centre of campus with a fair or event inside. In the winter, you’ll find Christmas on campus, complete with a big wheel and hot chocolate, and in the summer, we host our Summer ball on campus, with live music and a funfair. There’s always something going on, campus is never quiet!
Rachel, from Bury, 4th year Biological Sciences
“During the busy seasons or exams, the green spaces become areas to relax, with students gathering for a break, to eat lunch or maybe just get a bit of studying done in the fresh air! Everything is in one place but is only a short and cheap train ride away from the rest of the city”
Birmingham was the region’s first civic university. It has been welcoming students from all backgrounds for over 100 years and continues to do so to this day. The choice is yours, but you can find out more about why our students chose Birmingham.
Remember when you’re choosing a university, you should choose a place that inspires you and a place where you can see yourself being happy for an important three years.
Rumali, from Poole, 2nd year Political Science and International Relations
“If you choose Birmingham you have some incredible nights out awaiting you, a fabulous course, beautiful campus and if you are like myself and everyone I know- you are about to meet some of the greatest people ever!”
From libraries and lecture theatres to cafes and our own student club, you can find everything you need on campus.
