Psychology in the Classroom – Individual Differences (Module 32993)

This module covers individual differences in learning and achievement.

It will examine individual predictors of learning and achievement e.g. personality, intelligence, emotion, motivation and physical and mental health. Interventions in these areas for use in Education settings will also be discussed.

Outcome

By the end of the module you should be able to:

  • Identify factors that can explain individual differences in learning and achievement, including their own;
  • Understand how these factors impact on learning and achievement, including their own;
  • Evaluate interventions designed to address/support these factors;
  • Draw on relevant theory to identify ways that individual differences in learning and achievement can be accommodated or adapted in educational settings.
