Catalan is a Romance language of Latin heritage, spoken by over 10 million people across four European states. The language has a long and significant literary and cultural history. Our staff have a wide range of teaching interests, from representations of Catalan cultural identity in visual art, literature, music and architecture to the construction of national and cultural identity in Catalan-speaking territories. Specialist options include:
