Integrated Golf Coaching

Programmes

Level

Year Three

This module integrates students’ prior learning in the fields of coaching and sport sciences allowing them to holistically plan player development in golf. Students will analyse and evaluate the role of science within coaching and its application to coaching pedagogy. Through critiquing current theory and practice students will be expected to reflect upon their own personal coaching development.

Module delivery will engage students with the multi-disciplinary nature of coaching and performance, using player data to produce applied development strategies. This will be carried out through the use of both hypothetical and real-life case studies designed to develop an understanding of the difficulties involved in player development.
