Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships

There are a number of centrally administered scholarships available to undergraduate Engineering students at the University.

Brockhouse Scholarship

The Brockhouse Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students in their first year of study who are undertaking a programme within one of the Engineering schools at the University of Birmingham. The number and value of awards available in any given year will depend on the availability of funds and the standard of applicants.

TI Group Undergraduate Scholarship

The TI Group UG Scholarship is awarded to current undergraduate Engineering students. Five scholarships are available with each successful scholar nominated by their school on the basis of academic achievement.

The Norwenflor Endowment

Intended to help address the imbalance of men and women in STEM subjects at the University, the Norwenflor Endowment provides financial support of £1,000 per academic year for up to three years. Applicants must meet the requirements of the University's Access to Birmingham scheme but should not have applied through the scheme.

The Michael F Byrne Scholarship

The Michael F Byrne Scholarship is intended to support students in the School of Chemical Engineering. The scholarship is available to first year undergraduate students commencing their studies in 2018/19. The scholarship provides £2,000 per academic year.  Renewal is subject to progress summary being provided each academic year.  Two scholarships are available for the 2018/19 academic year.
