Value of Award
This scholarship is valued at £1,500 and will be awarded as a tuition fee contribution which will be paid directly by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on behalf of the award holder.
The award will be automatically renewed each year of study provided the receipient maintains a yearly average of at least 70%.
Students must be categorised as overseas for fees purposes (‘overseas students’) and not be wholly state-funded or in receipt of other scholarships or funds which wholly cover their tuition fee. Students who are part funded by other scholarships or awards must contact their departmental admissions tutor about their eligibility for an award.
To meet the academic requirements students must offer AAB grades from any three GCE A-levels excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking, or the equivalent from any of the international qualifications accepted by the School of Engineering. The University's decision on whether a qualification is equivalent to AAB at A-level is final.
Students must have chosen The University of Birmingham as their Firm choice via UCAS, where applicable.
How to Apply
There is no special application process – the awards will be made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham.
