Award Description

The International Entry Bursary is awarded to overseas students who make Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham their firm choice.

Value of Award

This scholarship is valued at £1,500 and will be awarded as a tuition fee contribution which will be paid directly to the School of Mechanical Engineering on behalf of the award holder.

The award will be automatically renewed each year of study provided the recipient makes normal academic progression.

Eligibility Criteria

The International Entry Bursary is awarded to all students classed as Overseas for fee purposes who meet the offer criteria for a place at Birmingham and have made Mechanical Engineering their firm choice.

The scholar cannot be in receipt of a fully-funded fees scholarship from an external body. Part-funded students will need to contact the Admissions Tutor with regards to eligibility.

How to Apply

There is no special application process – the awards will be made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham who apply by the end of September to commence their studies in the October of their year of entry.
