Accommodation for Presessional Students

Applications for students studying on a 20-week presessional course will open on 1 April 2021. The Living team will start sending out accommodation offers to students from 14 April 2021.

The accommodation will be located across all of our accommodation villages, dependent on availability. All accommodation fees will include utility bills, Wi-Fi and 24-hour security.

Please note that payment for your presessional accommodation must be made in full to secure your booking. We will notify you when you need to do this. We are unable to accept bank transfers.

Accommodation contracts for 20-week presessional students will start from Friday 23 April 2021 and end at 10am on Saturday 4 September 2021.

Students who wish to stay in accommodation for their main undergraduate or postgraduate course can make an additional application through the accommodation portal, and be guaranteed accommodation as per our Guarantee Schemes.

If you choose to remain in University accommodation for the next academic year, you can move directly from your presessional room to your new room.

The accommodation will be located across all of our accommodation villages, dependent on availability. All accommodation fees will include utility bills, Wi-Fi and 24-hour security.

Where we’re able to offer you accommodation, contract dates will vary depending on room type and location. As a result, students may be required to move during mid-July. Where this applies, you will need to complete an additional online application.

Accommodation contracts for 15-week presessional students will start from Friday 28 May and expire in July 2021 or September 2021. The end date will depend on the room type of your accommodation – you will receive more details about this once you’ve received your offer.

Please note that payment for your presessional accommodation must be made in full to secure your booking. We will notify you when you need to do this. We are unable to accept bank transfers.

The accommodation will be located at The Vale Village. All of the accommodation will be self-catered.

En-suite accommodation will cost £170 per week, whilst shared bathroom accommodation will cost £130 per week. This fee includes a weekly clean, kitchen pots and utensils, crockery and cutlery, and a duvet, pillow and sheet for your bed. Utility bills, Wi-Fi and 24-hour security are also included.

The accommodation application deadline is 30 June 2021.

If you wish to stay in University accommodation for the 2021/22 academic year after your presessional course, you must complete and submit a new online application form. Applications are open now and close on 31 July 2021 for international students.

If your accommodation application is successful, you’ll receive an offer of accommodation from us by September 2021. Once you’ve received an offer, you’ll need to pay a £550 Advance Payment to secure your room.

If you are offered a room in University accommodation for the 2021/22 academic year, you will move directly from your presessional accommodation to your new room.
