  • The benefits of going to university
  • Choosing courses and universities
  • UCAS procedures
  • Tips for personal statements
  • Higher education finances and tips for budgeting

  • Student life - with input from a current Birmingham student
  • University of Birmingham and our courses

GCSE students

Presentations to these year groups are more generic in nature and focus on increasing awareness of what higher education has to offer, helping those intending to go to university to understand requirements at GCSE level, and advising them on choices regarding their Post-16 education. We can provide talks for Year 9-11 students covering the following subjects:

  • The benefits of going to university
  • Choosing A Level subjects/equivilant qualifications

Higher Education conventions

We attend the majority of UCAS Higher Education Exhibitions.  You can view the full list of exhibitions we will be attending in 2018 here.

We are also happy to exhibit at school/college based Higher Education fairs and conventions.

Arranging a group visit to campus

We can host visits by school and college groups who want to give students an insight into university life. These days are great at 'demistyfying' what universities are about and give students real hands on experience. The itinerary for a visit could include activities such as:

  • Campus tour
  • Meeting current students
  • Talk in a range of topics as listed above
  • Subject taster lecture
