The Times Higher Education (THE) Europe Teaching Rankings compare teaching and learning at institutions across Europe.
The University of Birmingham has been ranked 25th in the new teaching and learning rankings.
The ranking is based on four 'performance pillars': engagement; resources (such as staff to student ratio); outcomes (such as academic research output, skills development); and environment, specifically around gender distribution in the University's community.
The European Student Survey, conducted as part of the rankings, examines a range of key issues including students’ engagement with their studies, their interaction with teachers, the quality of services at the institution and their opportunities to develop skills which help prepare them for a career after university.
