Ben Norris is a poet, scriptwriter, actor, and former UK All-Stars Poetry Slam champion, as well as a University of Birmingham alumnus.

Ben will be performing some of his poetry back on campus as a precursor to the Birmingham Revue of Books, an event produced by Writers' Bloc, Ben's old student society, and the Birmingham Footnotes.

Ben’s poetry has appeared in print, online, on the BBC, and on numerous festival, theatre, and concert hall stages, most recently at Latitude, the Royal Festival Hall, the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts, and Guernsey and Cheltenham Literature Festivals. Earlier this year, Ben won the IdeasTap Underbelly Award with his one-man spoken-word theatre show The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Family, which just finished a month-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe where it received rave reviews.
