Dr Emma Wagstaff, Senior Lecturer in French Studies at the University of Birmingham, will lead this introduction to the contemporary French poetry scene, including discussion of the work of poets featured in a new bilingual anthology, co-edited by Dr Wagstaff and to be published by Enitharmon Press this autumn.

There will be readings of poems and their translations, and an interactive exploration of the pleasures and challenges in translating work by living writers.
