Holding Baby is a new play, written by alumna and former Birmingham Poet Laureate Jan Watts.

Following sell-out rehearsal performances at the MAC earlier this year, Jan’s fantastic new work will receive its premiere performance exclusively at Book to the Future.

Performed by a remarkable cast, the play explores kinship care – where a child is raised by their grandparents or a close family member, rather than their birth parents. 300,000 children in the UK are currently being raised in kinship relationships, and Jan explores her own poignant yet humorous experiences of kinship care through the relationships revealed in Holding Baby.

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to be the first to see this new performance of Jan’s work in our exclusive FREE event for Book to the Future.
