An interactive session with Ciara Bomford on harnessing creative approaches to support career development. 

Ciara Bomford is the co-author of “Creative Career Coaching: Theory Into Practice”, a text book which has rapidly become popular with students, trainers and experienced professionals.  She is the People Development Manager for Careers Wales, leading on learning and development, performance and health and wellbeing, and also does occasional freelance training in the careers sector.  She has over twenty years’ experience of delivering career development activities, training career development practitioners and managing careers teams, with a particular interest in career resilience, mindfulness,  cognitive behavioural approaches, motivational interviewing, solution focused coaching and the mind-body connection.  She is also a yoga teacher, blogger, mother of teenagers and climate change activist.

Book to the Future

This event is part of Book to the Future - the University of Birmingham's annual festival of the written and spoken word. It features an exciting programme of free workshops, panel discussions, performances and author talks. 

The festival is open to all who are interested in the arts. It welcomes staff and students of the University of Birmingham, but also extends a warm invitation to the general public. We look forward to welcoming you!
