In the School of History and Cultures and the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion (until your new Student Experience Officer is appointed in December) my job is to further develop the inclusive student community.
I will do this by working with students and colleagues to run an annual programme of activities like student residentials, workshops and conferences, trips, dissertation poster exhibitions and social events. I will also work on planning and promoting employability activities, induction and re-induction (including things like co-ordinating student mentoring schemes and planning ‘Focus on Finals’ workshops).
I also work on a range of student friendly communications like newsletters, various social media platforms (linked above) and Canvas sites. Collecting and responding to student feedback underpins most (if not all) of this work, including that received through Staff Student Committees, student surveys and module evaluation
