In October 2012, the University of Birmingham opened its Mathematics Support Centre.

The STEM Education Centre provides support to students from the University seeking help and guidance with the mathematical and statistical components of their programmes of study through its running of this facility.

During the 2012/2013 academic year, a total of 501 student visits were made to the Support Centre.

It is located in the main Library and forms part of the University’s Academic Skills Centre.
