Studying in Birmingham exceeded my expectations, with the quality of teaching and facilities for students being world class.

I applied for roles in actuarial during my final year of university and was very excited when PwC offered me a graduate position; I felt PwC offered me the best opportunities.
Since joining PwC I’ve worked on a variety of different projects with companies all over the world. I am always learning something new and building relationships with new clients and colleagues from all over the firm, with expertise in very different areas to my own.

What is the best thing about what you are doing now?

I have the opportunity to help my clients with some of the biggest risks their businesses face. I’ve found PwC to be at the forefront of market leading solutions.

What was the best thing about your time as a student here?

The “campus” feel of the university, with the added bonus of the second city being only down the road.

In what way did living and studying in Birmingham live up to your expectations?

I’ve always lived in Birmingham and there was no way I could move away!

Studying in Birmingham exceeded my expectations, with the quality of teaching and facilities for students being world class.

How did you grow as a person by coming to University? Did it change your life in any way?

I learnt real life lessons coming to university, managing my own finances, managing my own study plan, as well as making friends with people from different backgrounds and different countries none of which I would have ever done without going to university.

What advice would you give to current students studying on your degree programme?

Make the most of the opportunities offered by joining societies, using the careers service and speaking to other students and alumni. Select the modules you most enjoy and studying for your degree will be so much more fun.
