Birmingham University Materials Society

BUMS-Logo-NewBirmingham University Materials Society, or BUMS as it is fondly known, is the departmental society for the School of Metallurgy and Materials. We combine social events with career-related activities such as industrial visits and fairs, and top it all off with the annual Materials Ball to make sure you get the most out of your time with us. We're so good we are the only society in the College to be named "Society of the Year" TWICE at the 2015 and 2018 EPS Societies' Awards! Join our Facebook group or follow @BhamUniMatSoc on Twitter to find out more.

EPS Societies' Awards won:

  • Society of the Year 2014/15
