Muhammad joined the University in Foundation Year before starting his electrical engineering degree. During this year he was able to refresh his skills from GCSEs and achieve a greater understanding of university life.
During his studies he undertook a year in industry and research project in the rail sector which ultimately led him to begin his career as an engineer working on the railway.

Understand what the lecturers are saying, understand the basics of everything and don't just learn things to pass exams. If you learn the basics you'll go a long way, if you don't learn the basics you'll forget everything after the exams.”
