Hi! We are the Islamic STEM Society, or ISTEM for short. We are a multicultural student group whose goal is to bring Muslims in science, technology, engineering and maths together from across the University.
ISTEM is a brand new society! We launched in Autumn 2021 to an exciting new group of members and some epic events. Our events aim to uphold Islamic beliefs and teachings, and are a fun way to meet people from similar backgrounds. We host Cultural Nights, Meet and Greet where are members can get to know each other, and have great plans for many more socials and careers events in future! We also have a strong sports presence with a Sisters Netball Team and we’ve even won the Brothers Interfaith Football (Come on ISTEM!).
