Space Society

Welcome to the University of Birmingham Space Society!Space Society logo

We are one of the newest societies at the University and we aim to make sure you’re involved in the future of space exploration, from the colonisation of Mars to tourism out of the Earth’s atmosphere. With us you will be part of a great team and a friendly environment in which you can learn a great deal about space.

We're going into our second year of participating in the UKSEDS National Rocketry Championship in which we are building a solid fuel rocket aiming to achieve the greatest height possible and recovery of the rocket in a controlled manner.  We also hope to begin the Olympus Rover Trials in which we will be tasked to design, construct, and operate a small rover to collect material samples on Mars.

As a member you will also be able to take part in events with experts in the space sector such as lectures and talks with Q&A’s.

If this sounds like your cup of tea; fill out our sign-up form at http://uobspacesoc.com/SignUpForm.

You can also keep in touch with us on our website https://uobspacesoc.com and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with @uobspacesoc, and subscribe to our YouTube channel to watch out latest launches.

Ad Astra!
