Universities Minister visits University of Birmingham to learn how students have been supported through the Covid pandemic

The Universities Minister, Michelle Donelan MP, met with students and researchers from the College of Engineering Sciences on 20 May 2021, as part of a visit to the University of Birmingham’s Collaborative Teaching Laboratory.

Ms Donelan visited the University to learn how they had been supported in their practical and experimental work during the pandemic. She was also introduced to how the University of Birmingham is supporting the student experience through its Covid-secure programme of activities and events, Spring Into Summer, as well as plans for graduation celebrations this summer.

The minister met with students and researchers from Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University’s Collaborative Teaching Laboratory. In keeping with the theme of collaboration, she also spoke to students and researchers from Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences, Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences backgrounds.
