James Watt Undergraduate Society (JUGS) Update - July 2015

On behalf of the committee, we want to say a big thank you to all those who have supported JUGS this year – we hope you’ve had as much fun as we have! A little tweaking has been made to the committee for the coming year, along with the addition of two new members:

President: Alex Cossey
Treasurer: Mark Alston
Secretary: Catherine Whitehouse
Social: George De Bolla & Chris Davey
Sports: Matt Saunders

Our new members:
Sports: Emma Howsham
International Relations: Frank Fang

We have an exciting schedule planned for the coming year! As is tradition, the term will kick start with ‘Freshers’ welcome’, a fantastic opportunity for students to meet others in different years and party into the morning at FAB. The year will then be jam-packed with events such as movie nights, pub quizzes, JUGS poker, Vale golf and paintballing. We are also hoping to set up a JUGS family mentoring scheme, to ease the transition from college into the first year of university. Sports-wise, the popular JUGS football will return!  Mountain biking, hockey, lacrosse and badminton are also in the pipeline.

If you would like more information about the society or to support us in any of our events, don’t hesitate to get in touch at eps-community@contacts.bham.ac.uk
