Hello! We are CAD Society and we're honoured to be a part of the EPS Community. We're a group of second year engineering students and we’re here to give you a bit more information as to what we do, and how you can be a part of our new society.

Why we started
CAD Society was made to help you develop your ability in computer aided design software, a key skill to possess in this ever increasingly digital world. What you learn from the society could then be used in individual or university group projects.

What do we have planned?
We’re hosting a taster session on the 5 June in the Arts Main Lecture Theatre (get your ticket here) and anyone is welcome to attend this event. The session will include a more detailed presentation on who we are and how we’ll go about hosting workshops in the next academic year. This is also your opportunity to sign-up the Society and be added to our mailing list where we can keep you updated with our progress!

Is that it?
No! Next academic year we planning to host internal and industry design competitions, industrial visits, and design-a-thons, which we hope to get as many of you involved as possible to create some really exciting things!

What could you offer me?
If that's not enough to convince you, as a member you’ll have access to our 3D printers and other equipment. Not only that, but we can also act as mentors and support you with any CAD-related issues.

How do I join?
As mentioned previously we are hosting a taster session on the 5th of June, which will give you the chance to find out what we have planned, and express your interest, however, you can always contact us at uobcadsociety@gmail.com to express your interest!

We hope to see you soon!
