Eleanor Mestel, Outreach and Schools Liaison Officer,

Register for this event

Our Engineering Taster Day is for Year 12 pupils who are thinking about applying to university to study an engineering degree.

The day will be held at the University of Birmingham's Edgbaston campus beginning at 9.45am (registration from 9.15am) and finishing around 3:30pm. Throughout the day you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the different types of engineering; taking part in engineering workshops, and meeting current students and staff. The day itself is free to attend, but students must make their own accommodation, travel and sustenance arrangements.

Students can register for the event though our online form. They will be required to upload a signed permission form which can be downloaded from the top of the registration page. For further information please contact Eleanor Mestel, Outreach and Schools Liaison Officer for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

We ask that only pupils who are taking Mathematics A-level and thinking seriously about studying Engineering at university attend.
