Study Engineering in the UK

A partnership exists between the University of Birmingham and Taylor’s University, Malaysia.  This provides the opportunity for students to enter into the second year or (for MEng) third year of one of our undergraduate Engineering or Physical Sciences programmes and graduate with a degree from the University of Birmingham.

Scholarship Opportunities

All students accepted through the partnership will be offered a scholarship equivalent to 20% of the course tuition fee.

The programmes at Birmingham

  • Students can study a range of disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering
  • Teaching is delivered in a vibrant research-led environment by internationally recognised specialists
  • Students have the opportunity to join one of the internationally-renowned research teams at Birmingham to carry out their final-year project
  • Practical work will help students to develop their research skills
  • Studying in the UK will help students to develop a more independent learning style in the enquiry-based British education system
  • Many students go on to study at PhD level at Birmingham or at other top 50 institutions
