Dr Ahmad Ibrahim

What got you interested in the subject area of Computer Science?

Computers have fascinated me since I was a child. I was always curious about how they work and what is the theory or logic behind them? My curiosity brought me in this field.

Who do you admire within your field, and why?

Although I admire many computer scientists, I would like to mention "Sir Tim Berners-Lee" whose invention of World Wide Web (WWW) usher in a new era in digital and information age.

What do you think is the future for Computer Science?

Computer Science is part of our daily life and our dependency on computers will only increase with time. This high dependency will open up a new set of challenges and opportunities for the future generation of scientists and engineers.

What are you looking forward to most about the campus in Dubai?

It is the first time for me to work in Dubai. I am excited to be part of the wonderful group of academics and administrative staff who would be working over there.
