Why did you apply to the University of Birmingham?

I had always dreamed of studying at a prestigious and internationally acclaimed university, and the esteemed universities in the UK were definitely institutions of choice. The University of Birmingham has some very notable alumni in Chemistry, such as the Nobel Prize winner Sir Norman Haworth. Moreover, I had heard from relatives that Birmingham is a highly multicultural city - which is something that I have found to be refreshingly true.

What do you think are the best points of your course?

The course has a very good structure and each year we have a good mix of reasonably straightforward and more challenging aspects of Chemistry to cover. The staff are very friendly, helpful and brilliant individuals!
