We take our brains for granted everyday – from choosing what to have for breakfast, remembering how to get to school or work, recognising our friends and colleagues to planning where we might go for our holidays many months away. Despite our reliance on our brains we often don’t stop to wonder how it is that the pinky-grey soft substance in our skulls is able to do all of these things. In this session you will find out what we know about what the brain is made of and how this material works to allow the process that we call thinking that gives humans such extraordinary capabilities.
Free lecture as part of Brain Awareness Week 2017 – everyone welcome.
