Valvular Heart Disease Patient Engagement Day

The UK’s first ‘Valvular Heart Disease – Patient Engagement Day’, endorsed by the British Heart Foundation, British Society of Cardiology and run in collaboration with Heart Valve Voice, will be held at the University of Birmingham on 29^th March 2019. The event aims to provide patient-focused information on valve disease: who it affects, how it is diagnosed, and current and future perspectives on treatment.

The day will feature patient information sessions on rehabilitation and surveillance, and sessions in which patients share their own experiences. Additionally, eminent speakers from the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery will disseminate the results of world-leading cardiac research to encourage and engender a positive approach to valve disease.
