The Marketing division is responsible for marketing the external profile of the University across a range of channels, with a digital approach at the heart of everything we do. This section includes staff responsible for marketing to prospective students, reputational marketing, University web, digital and social media channels, and staff with responsibilities for each of the academic Colleges.

We plan and deliver a series of campaigns throughout the year to support the University with its goal of attracting exceptional students to Birmingham, and raise the profile of the world-class research that takes place here through initiatives such as ‘Heroes’. The University’s website and social media presence are our window to the world and we work with colleagues across the institution to provide appropriate content to our external audiences. Our College teams work with academic and other professional services colleagues to support each College in delivering their strategies, and provide a strategic link back to the work of the broader External Relations division.
