The College of Social Sciences (CoSS) will be your home for the next few years, and we are really excited to be welcoming you to our College family.
We have designed a set of resources and activities to support over the next few weeks on your journey to your first day at Birmingham in September, and we hope that you’ll find these useful.
There will be information about academic skills and support with getting back into the routine of study, and about the activities and communities you can get involved in alongside your studies to enhance your experience at Birmingham. There will also be resources to help you with the emotional side of starting University and general ‘FAQs’ that will hopefully tell you everything you need about things like finances and accommodation.
Some of these won’t be available immediately as we don’t want to overwhelm you with loads of information at once, so keep an eye on your emails as we will send you a message when new activities are released. We are aware that not all students will have the computer equipment or internet access they need to fully access and engage with our pre-arrival programme of activities. If you have any concerns about your ability to access any element of the programme, or engage with the activities, please get in touch with us.
