HEFi Festival 2022

Header2-1

The HEFi Festival 2022 will be delivered across a whole week from Monday 04 July – Friday 08 July 2022.

The HEFi Festival 2022 brings together a collection of continuing professional development events delivered by academic and professional service staff at University of Birmingham. We have over 18 scheduled sessions to take place from Monday 4th July until Friday 8th July and for the first time in 2 years we are excited to host the majority of these face-to-face, with only a handful of sessions being delivered online.

Topics explored include curriculum design with a focus on the 2022/23 academic year, and this features design sessions delivered by colleagues in both HEFi and the university's ProFF team, the latter of which featuring a Curriculum Design Clinic. We would also like to explore emerging topics and issues currently facing the institution and more broadly, the sector. As such, we are pleased to be able to offer an online webinar which will officially introduce the Birmingham Graduate attributes. In addition, we will be holding important discussions led by staff at the university on digital-focused themes such distance-learning at the institution, the use of e-portfolios, developing effective and aligned rubrics, and designing MCQs.

As usual, the Festival will also showcase the support HEFi can offer, including CPD sessions supporting colleagues writing HEA Fellowship applications and getting started in education research. We'd also like to disseminate projects of interest, such as our student-led assessment and feedback and voice projects funded by the Education Enhancement Fund (EEF).
