Take-home exam guidance

Information about setting up take-home exams. A take-home exam is an open book exam where students have a period of time (e.g. 24-72 hours) to download an exam paper, answer the questions, and then submit their answers online.

Online exam guidance 

Information about setting up timed online exams. Online exams often include a flexible start time, usually within a 24-hour window, and the time limit for completion is typically 1-3 hours.  

Live video assessment guidance

Information about running live video assessments, that is assessments which use real-time video calls between a student and assessor, such as vivas.

Pre-recorded video assessment guidance

Information about pre-recorded video assessments. Pre-recorded assessments can be filmed in a variety of formats depending on the technology the students are most familiar with.
