Impacts of global events on race equity, diversity and inclusion in higher education

Wednesday, 7th July, 10am to 10:50am

Global events over the last 18 months have had unprecedented impact on the higher education sector. The Covid-19 pandemic significantly impact ways of working and the delivery of teaching and learning and the Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd put racial inequality more firmly on the agenda in institutions across the sector. In this keynote, Amatey will explore the challenges and opportunities in tackling racial inequalities in this new context and what practical steps institutions should be taking to address them.
