Personal Academic Tutoring: An exploration of the value of the online weekly group tutorials

Thursday, 8th July, 10am to 10:50am

UK Advising and Tutoring (UKAT) stated in 2020 that “for too long Personal Tutoring has not been given the attention it deserves”. Has the pandemic influenced change? This session explores the online weekly group tutorials in terms of what worked well, what worked less well and what we have learnt. It is an interactive session for colleagues to reflect on Personal Academic Tutoring at Birmingham over the last year and to consider whether group tutorials remain relevant and sustainable for the future. There will be opportunities for Personal Academic Tutors to share good practice and to consider how the pandemic will impact tutoring next year.
