Student transitions - Panel Event

Tuesday 6th July - 11am to 11.50am

We are following Luke Millard’s keynote presentation with a panel discussion to explore emerging themes and how they might impact on preparation for the 2021/22 session. Luke will join Dan Cottle - Director of Secondary Initial Teacher Education at the University of Birmingham, Liam Dwyer - Assistant Vice-Principle: Sixth Form - University of Birmingham School, Natalie Jordan - Student Experience and Welfare Manager in CoSS, and Sarah Montano - Deputy Director of Education of the College of Social Sciences, University of Birmingham. In this session we will seek to better understand the learning and pastoral experience of 6th form students during the pandemic, how they will become members of our learning community and settle into university life, and how we might adapt our practice to ensure that they can make a successful start to their studies.
