2022 National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFs) and the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE)

HEFi are pleased to announce that the call for nominations for the 2022 National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFs) and the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence is now open. The national awards are run by Advance HE. The closing date for nominations is the 18th November 2021. Please see below for further details:

‘The NTFs and CATE showcase the outstanding impact of individuals and teams who teach or support learning in UK higher education, recognising their success and providing a platform to share the learning from their practice.’ Advance HE.

A National Teaching Fellowship is an individual award, individuals need to demonstrate that they have made a significant impact on both student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education. NTFs must demonstrate evidence against the following criteria:

  • Individual excellence
  • Raising the profile of excellence
  • Developing excellence

CATE is a team award and recognises and rewards the key role that teamwork plays in enhancing teaching and learning through collaborative approaches to higher education. The award recognises a team which has enable a change in practice for colleagues and/or students at an institutional or discipline level.
