HEFi offers a diverse range of exciting opportunities for continuous professional development and recognition. Our futures-focused CPD invites academic and professional services colleagues across the University to come together, learn from each other, and share best practice in teaching and learning.
Our CPD includes our innovative cross-disciplinary peer observation scheme (the Open Classroom) and face-to-face events that explore evidence-based teaching practice.
Opportunities for recognition include the HEFi Fellows and Scholars, and Advance HE. Take a look at what we have to offer below:
The HEFi Showcase Series is our programme of continuing professional development events led by your peers who want to share their evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning.
The Open Classroom initiative provides the opportunity to observe, or have others observe a particular element of teaching that staff are interested in or would like to showcase.
HEFi offers a Reading Group, Writing Group and Research Group as part of a suite of CPD opportunities.
This initiative is to support academic and professional services staff with ensuring all students feel they belong at UoB.
HEFi offers two recognition awards for those staff who make a major and sustained contribution to excellence in leadership of research intensive teaching and learning across the University.
The University is a member of Advance HE. Find out about the membership benefits available to University of Birmingham staff, including webinars, publications, and an online platform..jpg)
