Student ID card and Proof of Study

Your student ID card proves that you are a student at the University and gives you access to buildings and services including Meal Plan and the Library.  You can also access documents to prove your student status, if needed.

You will be eligible to receive your ID card when you have completed Online Registration, including uploading a suitable photo. If your photo was not suitable, you will be contacted and asked to upload another. You will need to request your ID card using our online form and either have it posted to you, or collect it on campus.

Getting a proof of study letter

A proof of study letter confirms your student status at the University, and can be used when opening a student bank account or applying for council tax exemption. New and returning students can access these online.

Your ID card is valid for the duration of your programme and so you do not need to request a new card unless yours is lost, damaged, or the information on it has changed. If you need to request a new ID card for these reasons, you can use the online request form.
