From Arrivals Weekend, we will have a range of Welcome Hubs and venues open on campus to help you complete the essential administrative tasks ready for you to start your studies.
Our essential checklist for students will help you determine what you will need to do when you arrive. Many of the administrative tasks you need to do will be accessible from the Welcome Village. This is made up of a series of large, white marquees (temporary buildings) and situated next to the clock tower (Old Joe) in Chancellor's Court and in the Green Heart (near the Main Library) on the Edgbaston Campus. The Welcome Village comprises of several venues.
The Welcome Marquee in the Green Heart (near the Main Library, Edgbaston Campus) will be open for all students to meet the services that are here to support you throughout your time at the University. You can book a campus tour, pick up a campus map or ask one of our Welcome Assistants for help.
Over Arrivals Weekend, the Welcome Marquee will be open 10:00-16:00.
Welcome Registration Hub
The Welcome Registration Hub will provide ID cards for EEA students and UK students who did not receive their ID card in the post. It will also offer Online Registration support, Study Abroad support, and letters and statements for all students.

International Welcome Hub
The International Welcome Hub will provide Right to Study checks and ID cards for international students.
If you are an international student and have chosen to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) from campus, you will need to request an appointment with the International Student Team (IST) to collect it from the International Welcome Hub.
Over Arrivals Weekend, the International Welcome Hub will be open 10:00-16:00.
Our new Wellbeing Marquee is open all week on the Green Heart, and provides a quiet and relaxed space get creative, connect with friends, try out new activities or just take some time out to reflect.
Talk to our Wellbeing staff and discover information to help you be pro-active in looking after yourself during your time at University. With a huge range of activities on offer, including yoga, board games and origami, it’s the perfect opportunity to meet new friends and try something a little bit different during Welcome.

Meet with representatives from local banks and find out about opening a bank account. The Banking Fair is open to all students, but may be of particular interest to international students looking to open a bank account in the UK. It will take place in the first floor foyer of the Bramall Music Building (R12 - Edgbaston Campus).
Over Arrivals Weekend, the Banking Fair will be open 10:00-16:00.
Over Arrivals Weekend the first floor of Staff House (R24 on the campus map) will be available for parents to use to take a break and relax or arrange as a meeting place with students after the Parents' Welcome Addresses.
