University of Birmingham and Nigeria

Find out why our students love Birmingham

The University extends a warm welcome to students from Nigeria. Nigeria accounts for the second largest amount of new international students at the University.  There are currently over 250 Nigerian students at the University following undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a range of subjects.

The University has a number of links with Nigerian universities, schools and sponsors. It is home to the prestigious Centre of West African Studies, the only university department in the world to concentrate specifically on West Africa. Further details about the work it carries out can be found on the Africa Hub.
