In this workshop you will create your own motif, design or pattern using drawing. Designs could be inspired by spring, summer, flowers, plants or something totally different! You will then use a scalpel to carefully hand cut your design from paper to make a simple stencil. You will screen print your design onto blank tote bags using your stencil, a silk screen, squeegee and bright coloured textile ink. There will also be time to screen print some squares of plain fabric and add an additional colour to your prints.

Materials and equipment will be provided including two tote bags each, some squares of fabric and colourful textile printing inks.

This workshop is for adults aged 18 and over.

It is suitable for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills.

Please bring along some simple ideas or images to use as a starting point.

Inks are non-toxic and water soluble but may not wash off clothes so bring an Apron or wear suitable clothing.

Remember to bring a bag to take your finished work home in.
