The Centre for English Language Studies offers distance learning programmes in Applied Linguistics, Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language, and Translation Studies.
You will study six modules based on our own extensive materials, and then write a dissertation on a topic of your choice. You have a personal tutor and dissertation supervisor to guide you, and you have access to a wide range of online resources too. You can study the modules in a way that fits with your schedule, but you also have the opportunity to meet other students and academic staff through online chats and discussion forums and at week-long summer schools.
