Birmingham Foundation Academy
If you are highly motivated and have an excellent academic record but you don’t meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate programmes, the Birmingham Foundation Academy is your pathway to successful undergraduate study at Birmingham or other top UK universities. Upon successful completion of the appropriate pathway, you will be guaranteed progression to our extensive range of undergraduate programmes.
Autism Spectrum (Webautism) University Certificate/Certificate of Higher Education (Level C)
This distance learning programme is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the autism spectrum. It will be of particular interest to those working with children and adults on the autism spectrum, including Asperger sydrome.
Education BA (Hons)
The BA Education degree is interdisciplinary and combines ideas and research from areas such as education, psychology, sociology, philosophy, social policy and history. It is designed for both UK/EU and international students who have career aspirations and/or academic interests in the fields of childhood and education.
It combines the academic study of childhood and education with a practical focus on career development in related areas in the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond.
Education and History BA (Hons)
The Joint BA (Hons) Education and History degree course at Birmingham provides you with the opportunity to study Education and History in equal proportions to Honours degree level.You will have the opportunity to combine the study of the human past in one or both of the modern and medieval periods with the study of educational practices, processes and applications in a range of contexts and settings.
Education and Sociology BA (Hons)
The Joint BA (Hons) Education and Sociology degree at Birmingham provides you with an opportunity to study Education and Sociology in equal proportions to Honours degree level. Students will combine the study of key issues facing contemporary societies; including globalization; the changing nature of work and the family; gender roles and multiculturalism; with the study of educational practices; processes and applications in a range of contexts and settings.
