Biography

I graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Theology. During my time in Oxford I developed a strong interest in the Hebrew Bible and wrote a dissertation with a Dead Sea Scrolls focus. I subsequently did an MA in Religion at King's College London, where I followed the Biblical Studies track and wrote a dissertation on the Temple Scroll's Day of Atonement text.

Research

My research (AHRC funded - Midlands4Cities) will integrate exegetical analysis of the content of the Temple Scroll with the material remains of each of the Temple Scroll related manuscripts. I will undertake comprehensive material analysis of each scroll, critically considering the final form of the manuscripts and their overall shape. My results will shed new light on the scribes and editors of the known copies of the Temple Scroll and will extend our knowledge of ancient textual production and scribal culture.
